Oh Sundaze – 09.19.21

Oh hi friends. How are we halfway through September already?! This year has just flown by and I’m excited to be headed into my favourite season, however it has been way too long since we’ve sat down and had a catch up! Grab a cuppa and curl up for a catch up with ya girllll.

Since the restrictions started to ease up in Ontario during the month of August, I was able to get out and do some semi “normal” summer things.

Tristan, Nate & I took our annual zoo trip to one of our local zoos and it was an exceptionally beautiful sunny day. The zoo that we visit is great because you can get up close and personal with the animals and you have the option to feed them! We were able to take our masks off while walking through the zoo because it was set up as a one-way path and social distancing was implemented. It was also significantly quieter than normal because you had to reserve a spot in advance – which was really nice because it allowed us to take our time!

I was also able to meet up with a friend and her adorable twin boys for a much needed catch-up! We took a stroll at one of our local parks and it was so nice seeing each other after almost two years.

In my last update I talked about how the pandemic halted our plans to get our dog Penny fixed. And of course the universe works in such divine ways because shortly after we decided we were going to breed her. I’m happy and excited to announce that we’ve officially had two successful ties – so there is a 99.9% chance Penny is growing some puppies at this very moment!!

We’re so excited for the journey ahead and I’ll be bringing you all along for the ride. Stay stunned for tons of pup-dates and all the tips we learn along the way!

Tristan and I celebrated our.. wait for it…. SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY! I know, we can’t believe it either. Yesterday we were two 17 year olds without a clue in the world just knowing we loved each other and wanted to spend forever together. Time sure flies when you’re doing life with your best friend!

We’ve taken a few trips to the greenhouse and on one of those trips I found one of my wish list plants!!! Meet my monstera adansonii – name is pending so send in your suggestions!

I’ve been really preoccupied with training at my work so I haven’t been able to focus on school 100% but I’m always plugging away at it. It’s so crazy how tired my brain is after absorbing so much new information at work and then coming home to absorb information for school. I’ve been making it a priority to listen to my body through the hustle and keep up with my self care routines. One of those routines included breaking out the Halloween decorations!

Lots going on over here and lots of good stuff to come! Thanks for catching up – let me know what you’ve been up to these past few months!

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend and the weather stayed nice wherever you’re reading this from! I figured we were long over due for a catch-up and while I’m at it I owe you guys an explanation as well. Grab a cuppa and curl up for a catch up with ya girllll.

Over the past two weeks I haven’t really been posting on my regular scheduled dates because I’ve honestly lacked the motivation & inspiration. I told myself this summer will be “slow” by choice. I plan to spend the next two months living and working at a slower pace, writing and creating when I feel inspired, but ultimately listening to my body and resting/ relaxing when I need to.

I’ve explained in this post the ways that I’ve been slowly but surely improving my mental health and changing bad habits. I think that taking this summer slow really plays into that process and hopefully I’ll be able to carry forward what I learn into my everyday life even once summer has faded. So with that being said – I’m still here! Just takin’ it a little slower these days.

You all should know our baby Penny by now. She’s a red Boston terrier and we just love her so!

Penny the red Boston terrier

Our plan was to get her fixed ASAP like we did with our other animals however covid (and the universe) ultimately had a different plan. Since everything was forced to shut down the backlog it caused for the procedure was astronomical and after a ton of research we’ve decided we are going to breed her within the next few months!

Tristan grew up alongside her Grandpa raising and breeding huskeys so she’s extremely passionate about doing this and we couldn’t be more excited for puppies!!

school update

In my last oh Sundaze post I told you guys that I took a huge leap and enrolled in the real estate program through Humber College. It’s been going really well so far although it is a ton of information to get through, my brain has been tired lol. I’m happy to let you all know that I passed my first exam (one of four) and I’m not onto the next step in the learning process!

I’m so excited to launch myself into this new career with an amazing established team to support me. I’ve managed to sign on with a brokerage and this past Wednesday we had a ‘new’ agent team meeting and I both loved & soaked up every minute of it. I’ve never been apart of a team of people so warm, welcoming, and ready to help with anything and everything they can – and when I thought I was briefly in the past I got royally fucked over. And on that note – onto bigger and better things!

Team zoom meetings

date night at the drive-in

Things are finally starting to return to normal and restrictions are being lifted here in Ontario so of course we took advantage and went to the drive-in movie theatre! It was such a fun night, we made a little bed in the back of Tristan’s hatchback, added some fairy lights, loaded up on snacks, and watched two amazing movies.

We saw Black Widow, which as a huge marvel fan was highly anticipated, and Cruella. Both were phenomenal and I honestly couldn’t pick a favourite if I tried, however I have to give it to Emma Stone for her portrayal of Cruella – she fucking killed it and the level of talent… I can’t even.

I also made a cute little Tiktok of our date night if you wanna check it out HERE 🙂

Date night at the drive-in movie theatre

severe weather

This past week there was a devastating tornado that passed through the south end of my town and destroyed multiple homes. We were very lucky to not be effected nor have any loved ones effected however it was still a traumatic event and our hearts go out to those who were.

In our end we just got extreme showers and thundering/lighting, with a little bit of wind but nothing we haven’t ever seen before. No one expected it but so far there have been no fatalities and our community has come together to support the families without a home right now. It’s beautiful to see the outpouring love and donations! #BarrieStrong

joined the Apple Watch club

I’m not someone who jumps in line to get the latest tech releases, generally using what I have until it breaks – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, right?

Although Apple watches have been around for what seems like forever now [how did we live without them before??] I’ve never had the privilege of owning one… until now!

My amazing MIL was gifted a new series six and she was kind enough to pass her series four down to me! I’m still getting the hang of it and figuring out the nifty things I can do with it but so far I absolutely am obsessed! I can’t wait to buy some cute bands, send me your suggestions!

currently reading

A few weeks ago I updated y’all on my progress with the Goodreads 2021 reading challenge and since then I’ve picked up the seventh book in the Outlander series: an echo in the bone. So far I’m loving it! This will be book 6 out of the 10 I’ve challenged myself to read this year.

An echo in the bone by Diana

Okay y’all – I’m sure I’ve occupied enough of your precious time this evening! Thanks for catching up with me and keep your eyes open for a brand new Monday moodboard post going live tomorrow 🙂

Oh Sundaze

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! I love waking up early this time of year – the sound of birds singing is seriously one of my favorite things in the world and I’ve been enjoying it all May long weekend. We’ve been soaking up the nice weather and getting our yard/patio together for summer. We picked up some gorgeous purple flowers to put in the garden, a huge lush fern [that we’ve named side show bob] and a gorgeous hanging assortment. Other than our weekend happenings I thought it was time for another catch-up cause some exciting stuff is happening over here in my corner of the world! Grab a cuppa and curl up for a catch up with ya girllll.

I’m officially a student again! I’ve started the pre-registration portion of the Real Estate Agent certification and it’s been so interesting to learn the language of the real estate world & it’s inner workings. I have such high hopes for this career change and I feel like I’ve finally found my calling [for this season in my life] and my people. I’ve already been recruited to a very reputable brokerage which I’m so grateful for – it feels as though the opportunities within this career are right at my grasp. And it doesn’t hurt that I’m a total nut when it comes to design.

we got vaccinated!

I am so excited to announce that I am officially a half-vax! I got my first dose of the covid-19 vaccination and I’m so happy that it feels like we’re one step closer to returning to a normalcy. I won’t lie and say that I did a ton of research into the shot that I got [Pfizer] because frankly I just felt lucky to be getting any type of vaccination against this virus however I will share my experience with y’all!

We arrived at the vaccination clinic and everyone we encountered was very nice and informative. The process was easy and just required us to sign in and verify our identity. From there we were ushered to wait for the nurse who again was very sweet and informative and would be administering the shot. I have been getting my flu shot for years now so I was [somewhat] prepared for what the actual needle would feel like and it was similar for sure. As for side effects I will say my arm was wicked sore by 7pm and I felt very tired – otherwise I felt great!

  1. Try not to tense your arm while getting the needle – ask your nurse to prepare you with a deep breath before the administration
  2. Apply heat to the area post-vaccine to help get everything moving
  3. Take a nice hot shower the day after, this seemed to really help and got rid of the remainder of pain I felt

Instead of rewatching old comfy shows we’ve been diving into new series because still being in lockdown let’s face it; there’s not much else to do. We finished all eleven seasons of Shameless and also the first season of Ginny & Georgia. Both are phenomenal shows and I highly recommend! Ginny & Georgia was just renewed for a second season, thank gawd because they left it on a cliff hanger as per Netflix usually does.

I’ve also finished The Birth House by Ami McKay and I loved it, 4/5 stars for sure. Now I’m onto Little Fires Everywhere and although I’ve already watched the TV series I can confidently say I’m enjoying the book a lot more!

Other than that it’s been the same ‘ole around here but I’d love to see what you guys have been up to! Stay happy my loves.

Oh Sundaze: 05/02/21

Hello friends and happy Sunday! We’re officially into the first week of May, can you believe it? I don’t know if it’s because of the pandemic or what but the past 14 months have flown by almost as if they didn’t even exist. Thankfully we’ve had lots of fun & exciting things happening that help to balance out the pandemic blues while giving us something to look forward to as well. This catch-up is special because y’all get to meet the newest addition to our family!!

This is Frankie!

We got another kitten! He is the sweetest little boy and just wants to be cuddled and loved on 24/7. He is named after Francis Gallagher [if you know then you know] and we think Frankie for short fits his little personality perfectly. The dogs are really taking to him and Beanie is happy he finally has a feline friend. We can’t get enough of his adorable face which I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot of on my IG stories!

Like I mentioned in this weeks loved list the majority of the week has been super rainy so we’ve been curled up & cozied up inside and the animals have been loving all the snuggle time.

When it did stop raining I managed to cut some wood and put together a little DIY project. If you read last weeks catch-up you’ll remember me talking about wanting to build a console table for our front door and while I definitely did attempt to do just that it failed hardcore. My cuts didn’t line up so it ended up crooked and long story short I took it all apart, salvaged the wood & used it to cover the pre-existing cube shelf minus the pieces for the cubes [I just took out the pieces I didn’t want]. I’m not mad about how it turned out.

I also mentioned last week that I found a couple logs around my yard that I want to repurpose and I’m here to report I still don’t know exactly what I want to do with them.

plans for our master bedroom:

Tristan & I have lived in our apartment for over a year now and although we’ve put a lot of love and decor into a majority of the rooms we seem to have neglected our own bedroom! Here’s what I’m thinking in terms of immediate upgrades.

  • new dresser
  • accent wall or new headboard
  • curtains
  • more artwork
  • sconces?
  • new side tables?

Hopefully we can start to focus on our bedroom design over the next couple weeks – it’ll definitely be a slow but steady kinda makeover with one thing at a time due to the pandemic. Nonetheless keep an eye out for some dedicated posts coming up all about our master bedroom revamp! I’m excited to turn the space into something cosy & serene as opposed to somewhere we just rest our heads at night.

What’s been up with you guys? Any home projects on the go?

Oh Sundaze: 04.25.21

Happy Sunday friends! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. It’s been a few since I’ve caught you up on what’s been going on over in my little corner of the universe so grab a cuppa and curl up! There’s been some celebrations and lots of DIY projects that I’m excited to share.

Tristan’s 24th birthday was this past Thursday and we celebrated on the day and on Saturday – she’s a lucky girl. On Wednesday night I stayed up to decorate for her and I pretty much did all the decorations myself using cardboard, paint, some craft paper, card stock and my cricut maker [all things I already had in my arsenal of supplies].

On Saturday Tristan’s Mom brought over this gorgeous double chocolate cake with buttercream icing and it was heavenly. We all enjoyed more than one piece – if that wasn’t already obvious lol.

There’s been some major DIY inspiration happening over here and I have a couple projects on the go. To start I’ve collected a handful of tree stumps/logs that I’m honestly not quite sure what to do with yet but I’m thinking something along the lines of an outdoor table.

The console table that we currently have I loath entirely so a quick scroll on Pinterest made me realize I could easily make my own with pieces of scrap wood I already have. I’m about half way done because the weather keeps delaying my progress but stay posted for a full post on what steps I took to build it and how you can do the same!

The inspiration

Ontario is still under a stay-at-home order so there’s not a ton to do but thankfully the greenhouses are still open and it’s nice to at least get out of the house & have a change of scenery. We picked up some grass seed to fill in some of the patchy spots in our yard but other than that they didn’t have much out yet. I did manage to find this super cute ivy wall that made the perfect backdrop for a photo!

We’re still steaming Shameless on Netflix and now we’re into season nine. With two more seasons to go I will admit that the show has started to slow down with the storylines of each character doing their own thing as opposed to being together as the Gallagher clan we know and love. Despite this I still really enjoy it and am excited to see it to the end.

I recently finished reading home body by Rupi Kaur which is the third book in her poetry series and I loved it just as much as her first two instalments. This book solidified the fact that everything I need to be successful & happy is already within me – where I am is where I’m meant to be. I’m not sure what I’m gonna read next because I have way too many books on my shelf waiting to be read but I’m thinking The Birth House by Amy McKay.

This past week I discovered my new favourite beauty product, the Kiss Falscara lash kit system. They’re salon quality lashes that you can do from home and also dupe as eyelash extensions! I love them so much I don’t think it’ll ever wear mascara again. Look out for a full review and how to to use these gorgeous lashes coming atcha this Tuesday!

That’s all I have for you this week my loves! Let me know what you’ve all been up to in the comment section!

Sundaze // 01.24.21

Hi loves! I hope you’re all doing well🤍

I’m so ready to pause, sit down with a cup of coffee, and have a chit chat with you guys. These are some of my favourite posts because it allows me to connect with y’all [and vice versa] on a more personal level.

Over the past couple of weeks there’s been a lot of exciting things that have brought positivity and more importantly motivation into fruition for me! I can’t wait to share these moments with you, alongside the crazy happenings that take place inside the McKay household that I think will make you laugh [or at least smile, lol]. Cosy up with me and let’s catch up!

Our little Penny is officially a women. Last weekend she went into heat and it’s been a long week of cleaning, I’ll tell ya that. We’ve never had to deal with anything like this because we were able to get Bella fixed before she experienced a heat. With the pandemic and everything being backlogged we haven’t had the same situation with Penny, but hopefully this is the one and only heat we’ll have to navigate through!

We finally got Crave and I regret not subscribing to it sooner! It has so many of our favourite throwback shows like 16 and pregnant, friends, and the Big Bang theory! It’s been so nice to have some thing else to watch other than the repetitious shows on Netflix.

We also spent much needed time finishing our master bedroom, it was the only room we really haven’t focused on decorating for some odd reason. It looks so great and I can’t wait to reveal it in a more detailed post!

Getting crave and making our room feel put together and cosy were definitely essentials for lockdown 2.0 here in Ontario that has been extended into February. We haven’t been effected too much but like everyone else we are patiently awaiting the vaccine to become available to the general public. I don’t even remember what a normal world feels like but I’m hopeful it’s within reach.

This year is the year of consistency and so far it’s been really rewarding, especially when it comes to social media and growth. I’ve been posting daily on my IG grid and within two weeks I went from around 400 followers to just over 900! I’ve also gained some new readers since implementing a concrete posting schedule, planning out my content ahead of time allows me to really focus on putting out quality content!

One of my goals is to become a full time blogger while I study for a new career and the process has been a learning curve but I’m starting to see some progress! I was finally accepted to WordAds which places ads on my blog and whenever it gains traction I earn commission! I want to thank everyone for reading my blog posts and supporting my goals by being okay with seeing some ads- you’re the reason why I do this!

A few other cool things I’ve started to do is incorporate hygge inspired home on a new IG account @hyggehomeaesthetic— an extension of Cosy Culture Co! All you have to do to be featured is use the hashtag #cosyculturehomes! I also post a lot of the decor that’s seen in these gorgeous homes on the Cosy Culture Home LTK! If you’re more into fashion and my everyday looks, follow my main LTK here.

In other happy news babe got her new car finally. The process with the insurance company took over a month [long story] and I’m so glad we can move on and no longer have to share a car! Some type of normalcy has been restored, despite the world still being weird, lol.

What have you guys been up to the past couple weeks?

My Updated Bedtime Routine

When its time to call it a day and crawl into bed, I absolutely can’t fall asleep unless I do all of the things that make me feel cosy, safe, and generally sleepy AF. I know that I can’t be the only one with a bedtime routine, but I also know that Morning Routine posts normally dominate the blogging scene- today I thought I’d share the opposite side of the spectrum.

bedtime routine

Here’s What I do to get Ready for Bedtime!

Skin Care

This is something that I really want to work on this year, I tend to only stick to a routine when my skin is giving me issues. I know that later down the line when my skin starts showing its age I’ll seriously regret not having a consistent skin care regiment. Since March and the first initial lockdown I’ve worn makeup a handful of times and it’s honestly been so refreshing and good for my skin but I’ve also invested in a few new products. If you want to know more about the products that I use you can read more about it in detail here!

Vitamins + Medication

After I’m done taking care of my skin I typically will take my multivitamin, vitamin D, as well as my medication! This step is crucial for my mental health and I’ve always made this a priority even though I don’t highlight it on the blog very often.

Let my Dogs Out

Before we all go to bed for the night, I let the girls outside to use the bathroom for the last time. Given it’s the dead of winter this is usually quick because just like their Mum’s they absolutely do not like the cold!

White Noise

There are two type of people: those who need complete silence to fall asleep and those who can’t fall asleep without noise in the background. I’m the latter, but to the extreme. I ask my Google Home to turn on the white noise feature which plays on an endless loop and then I turn my stand-up fan on- partly for background noise but also because Tristan and I both get really warm when we sleep. I’ve had my Lasko fan since two summers ago and it’s still going strong!

Heating Pad

Heat is probably one of the most soothing things and I always use it when I’m falling asleep. I put it on any sore muscles or use it for warmth during these chilly Canadian winter nights.

Turn on Some Netflix

Our Roku smart TV is super smart so we use the remote on our phones to go straight to Netflix. We generally put on something funny, light, and mindless to fall asleep to and its usually Modern Family ever since Netflix removed Friends from its services.

Another goal that I want to work on this year is being more conscious of my water intake, because if I didn’t remind myself it would be coffee all day everyday. I make it a goal to at least drink one small glass of water in the evenings while I’m prepping for bed and I find that when I use my Yeti I’m more enticed because it keeps it nice and cold.

Scroll scroll scroll

At this point it’s usually 10-10:30pm and I’ll lay on my phone scrolling on social media or reading blog posts for about an hour. I find that when I read before bed whether that be a book or my WP reader it makes my brain and eyes sleepy, making it easier to doze off.

Hi loves! I hope this post is finding you well.

The last time we sat down and got caught up together was at the beginning of December, so we are definitely overdue for a chit chat session! Grab a cuppa and cosy up with ya girl!

First things first, today is my 24th birthday! Another year around the sun and another year wiser. Today I’m spending the day with my people and my animals, relaxing and being thankful for all I have accomplished so far in this crazy lifetime! Here’s to turning 24!

Just before Christmas it was announced that the province of Ontario would be going into a 28 day lockdown commencing 12am December 26th, so we spent the couple of weeks before this happened to do all of our essential shopping.

This year was very different when it came to holiday festivities because gatherings were limited and everyone was preparing for lockdown 2.0- families didn’t have an opportunity to get together and Christmas was kept secluded to each individual household. Although it was nothing like the holiday season we usually experience, our household still had a very Merry Christmas!

Over the holidays we also got a ton of snow. It was so magical and really helped set the mood on Christmas Day- the snowflakes were so big, beautiful, and consistent. So consistent in fact it didn’t stop for a few days but it was honestly comforting knowing we didn’t have to go anywhere and could just enjoy being cozied up. By the time it was done everything was blanketed in a thick layer of snow and it was really picturesque.

Shortly after Christmas on the 31st came Bella’s fifth birthday! I can’t believe my fur baby is already five years old- time goes by way too fast.

my dog Bella

Another cool thing that happened was actually a total shock. I posted a reel on IG not thinking anything of it and I guess it just hit the algorithm at the right time because it blew up. This has only ever happened one other time to a video that I posted on TikTok so when my notifications starting going off non-stop for about an hour my mind was literally blown. People actually see what I post???? What??? So crazy.

screenshot of IG reel that went viral

Since Nate moved in with us [you can read that update here] we realized that we need more space to be able to live functionally. We started discussing the possibility of looking for something bigger but the idea of moving at this moment in time during a pandemic forced us to reconsider. Instead we decided to try to utilize the space we currently have a little better and the first thing we decided to look into is a sectional sofa as opposed to the set up we have now. Couch shopping is no joke especially because they typically aren’t cheap and rather feel like an investment, I’ll keep you guys posted on what we decide to get and exactly how we decided!

Last but not least some blog updates. If you’ve yet to notice for the past three years my blog posts were extremely sporadic and sometimes I would go a week straight posting everyday and then nothing at all for a month. Obviously the inconsistency wasn’t going to help me achieve my blogging goals and heading into this new year I decided to be a lot more organized. I officially have implemented a posting schedule you guys, I’m levelling up. From now on you can look forward to posts every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and every other Sunday. Yay!

I’m so determined to make this year good and keep things flowing with positive vibes as I’m sure most of you are. Besides that- what have you been up to lately? Let me know in the comments or in the private FB group!

That’s it that’s all loves, talk soon.

2020 Highlight Reel

Hey friends 🙂

It’s amazing that although this year was the furthest thing from ideal when I look back there is many good things worth celebrating! Over the last 12 months there’s been at least one occurrence per month that brought some positivity and joy back into our lives, today I thought that I’d share those moments with you. Let’s do it!

This year kicked off with birthday celebrations! I celebrated my 23rd birthday on the 10th and I got to pick up my new car on the same day. We celebrated my brothers 16th birthday on the 11th and the rest of the month went along as any other normal January.

2007 Ford Focus Sedan

At the beginning of February we moved into our nice new place! This was such a relief because not only were we majorly upgrading but we were getting away from our toxic landlords- see ya never!

Quarantine/lockdown number one started during March and we definitely took advantage of it when it came to our new home. We did a ton of decorating and it was nice to be able to spend so much time with Tristan.

In April we celebrated Tristan’s 23rd birthday during lockdown. Even though we couldn’t go out to celebrate we still made the most of it and I did my best to make it as special as I could!

Nicole and Tristan celebrating Tristans 23rd birthday

This is the month that I jumped on the bandwagon and started buying plants. I had never been able to keep anything alive thus far but I figured quarantine was a good time to try and really learn about different plants and what they need to thrive.

The weather started to warm up this month and we took advantage of it! When we moved into our new place in February we gained a gigantic backyard but because of the snow we couldn’t really do anything with it. When the nice weather came we started to make it a more welcoming space.

this is before we painted and extended the garden fence

In July we spent more time on the backyard projects and I bought even more plants. We were also able to get out of the house and go on a little adventure to our local lavender field- it was a much needed day/date.

In August we welcomed the cutest furry face into our family. Penny came home to us at just six weeks old and she was so tiny she basically fit into my hand. Eeeek I miss puppy days!

September is now a month that will hold a very special place in my heart. On the 5th of this month the absolute love of my life asked to spend the rest of our lives together and proposed during the middle of a photoshoot! It was magical and I can not wait to be a wife!

lesbian couple engagement

My favourite month of the year was spent decorating for fall, picking up lots of pumpkins, and many bonfires! I ate way too many marshmallows and s’mores, no regrets.

We got into the holiday spirit really early this year and went to visit our local greenhouse that is always done up to the max in elaborate Christmas decor!

Nicole at Bradford Greenhouses

We spent the last month of the year eating yummy food, having tons of hot chocolate, and enjoying time to relax [as much as one could during the holiday madness] before going back to everyday pandemic life.

What were the highlights of your year? I think it’s important to look back and recognize all of the good that has come out of a year we definitely did not see coming. It’s the little things that keep you going and remind you that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Stay well + talk soon loves.

Hiii loves! I hope that you’re enjoying your weekend and have rested and recharged for the week ahead!

It’s been way too long since I’ve sat down and updated you with a chatty post about what’s new with me and let me just tell you it’s been very busy in this household. There’s been some big changes and some bumps in the road but there’s also been some pretty great moments and achievements that are definitely worth mentioning.

Let’s get into it! Grab a cuppa, curl up, and lets catch up!

One of the biggest changes that occurred over the past month was my brother moving in with Tristan & I full time. It was definitely a sudden move however we are so happy to have him here with us! We’ve been working on slowly transforming our guest bedroom into something less girly for him, and it’s really coming along. We’ve ordered some pretty awesome electronic gadgets [that I’ll be sharing in a later post] and custom made a shelve to hang under his TV for his playstation and whatnot. We still have a few items to grab and check off the list but I think it’s looking really good!

Tristan’s Car Accident

On Wednesday last week, Tristan had a car accident very early in the morning and although she is okay [which ultimately is all that matters] her car is not.

We’re waiting to hear back but from our insurance company but from what we know of at this moment it sounds like it’s going to be a total loss. Bittersweet because we definitely had plans for her car to be passed down to me and kept in our family. On the bright side it’s looking like she is going to get a new car!

Officially Started the Rebrand

This past week I announced that I’ve officially started the rebrand roll-out for Cosy Culture Co previously known as Nicole’s Niches.

So far the process has gone really well! All my handles for socials are successfully switched over as well as my logos and branding.

The last bit that is yet to be complete is switching over the website domain which is coming up for renewal at the end of December. That will officially be the end of Nicole’s Niches and I’m so excited to move onto this new chapter!

New Partnerships

I’m excited to be working with not one but two new brands that I’m positive you guys will love as much as I do. Think home decor and the best tool to help you stay organized!

I’ll be doing an in-depth post on each company later this week, so keep an eye out for that as well as some exclusive discount codes available to my readers only.

Sales Sales Sales

Between Poshmark and Etsy orders I’ve been running to the post office a ton in the past few weeks, no complaints because I’m so grateful for every single order.

My all natural heating packs seem to be the most popular at this time of year and for good reason! They make great gifts or stocking stuffers and they’re great to invest in for yourself on those achy damp days!

In Other News

With COVID numbers rising significantly [it almost seems like daily now] here in Southern Ontario we’ve been doing our best to stay home as much as possible.

We’re officially in the grey zone and if cases don’t decrease and decrease now we will move into the red zone which means we will be moving into a province wide lock down again.

It does put a damper on the holiday festivities this year but I would rather do what we have to do so we can get back to normal as soon as possible.

What’s been going on with you? What’s the COVID situation where you live? Let me know in the comment section.

Stay well + stay safe loves.

Success! You're on the list.
